A STORY OF A SCARF
This scarf that I am wearing in this picture has a
loving memory attached to it.
In my early very early teens as per usual on a
Saturday morning went grocery shopping with my dad. On this particular day, we
went past a boutique and I saw this scarf in the window. I asked my dad if I
could quickly pop in. I picked up the scarf and immediately fell in love with.
The second thing I did was look at the price, and at that point knew it was
something that my dad could not afford.
We left the shop, on the way home my dad asked me,
did you like the scarf, to which I responded no.
As we got home, my dad asked me to unpack the
groceries and that he would be home shortly as he forgot to do
something.
When he came back, he gave me this beautiful scarf.
He said that when I picked up the scarf he saw the glee in my eyes. He noticed
the sadness when I saw the price, and he heard my broken voice when I answered
no to the question of whether I liked the scarf. At this point he knew that
beyond everything else he wanted to buy the scarf for me.
Every time I see this scarf, every time I use it, I
feel and reminded of my dad's unconditional love.
Dad thank you, I love you, I know you are always
watching me and guiding me.
