~♥~
This is the first song I loved and learned when I first arrived in South Africa and went to school at I.H Harris Primary
~♥~
Wake up! Wake up! It's a lovely day .
Oh! Please get up and come and play.
... The birds are singing in the trees,
And you can hear the buzzing bees
Wake up! Wake up! It's a lovely day.
Oh ! Please get up and come and play,
It's much too late to lie in bed,
So hurry you sleepy head
Wash and dress and come on out,
Everyone is up and about.
The cows, and the geese, and the ducks and the sheep,
The tiniest chicken is cheeping, "cheep --cheep"
Wake up! Wake up! It's a lovely day.
Oh ! Please get up and come and play,
A bird, a bee, a butterfly
I'll show you all the things I spy
Wake up! Wake up! Wake up!
