Η καρδιά της μάνας- A mother's heart
Puzzle Pieces

This poem, my dad taught me, when I was 3 years old. A very, very distinct memory. Thank you dad. Thank you for the special moments. Thank you for the education. An education beyond degrees, an education of love, the meaning of life.

A MOTHER'S HEART
A poor lad once and a lad so trim
Gave his love to her that loved not him
And says she, 'fetch me tonight you rogue'
Your mother's heart to feed my dog!
To his mother's house went that young man
Killed her and took the heart, and ran.
And as he was running look you he fell
And the heart tolled to the ground as well.
And the lad, as the heart was was a-rolling heard
That the heart was speaking and this was the word
The heart was a weeping and crying so small
'Are you hurt my child, are you hurt at all?'

MY DAD'S LESSON TO ME

My dad taught me a very important lesson which will always be embedded in my heart and spirit. When I was a teenager he told me:
"Never
dismiss what someone tells you. If you do not agree with it at the time,
acknowledge it and put aside. As you grow and evolve and perceptions change,
there will come a time that this information is useful in some way or
another."
He
has been right, and I am so thankful for this wisdom.

A STORY OF A SCARF
Puzzle Pieces
A STORY OF A SCARF
This scarf that I am wearing in this picture has a
loving memory attached to it.
In my early very early teens as per usual on a
Saturday morning went grocery shopping with my dad. On this particular day, we
went past a boutique and I saw this scarf in the window. I asked my dad if I
could quickly pop in. I picked up the scarf and immediately fell in love with.
The second thing I did was look at the price, and at that point knew it was
something that my dad could not afford.
We left the shop, on the way home my dad asked me,
did you like the scarf, to which I responded no.
As we got home, my dad asked me to unpack the
groceries and that he would be home shortly as he forgot to do
something.
When he came back, he gave me this beautiful scarf.
He said that when I picked up the scarf he saw the glee in my eyes. He noticed
the sadness when I saw the price, and he heard my broken voice when I answered
no to the question of whether I liked the scarf. At this point he knew that
beyond everything else he wanted to buy the scarf for me.
Every time I see this scarf, every time I use it, I
feel and reminded of my dad's unconditional love.
Dad thank you, I love you, I know you are always
watching me and guiding me.
